Abstract: This thesis addresses corruption in Fiji with a focus on Land Transport Authority [LTA] responsible for providing services pertaining to land transport. The thesis provides a background to the legal framework of addressing corruption in the country. It examines the workings of various governments in the post-independence era with institutional responses or lack of it under each of these. Notably corruption has been on the rise since 1987 coup and regrettably there has been absence of necessary political will to tackle it.
