Abstract: Energy is the backbone of any nation, which enables the development of the nation socially, economically and improves health and education. The main objective of this work is to carry out long-term energy planning (2015-2040) for Fiji by developing an energy model for grid electricity and transport (land, maritime and air) sectors using Long-Range Energy Alternative Planning (LEAP) tool. Comprehensive review of Fiji’s current energy situation, different aspects of energy planning and assessment of renewable energy production potential are presented before constructing energy models.
