Abstract: This study was undertaken to investigate whether parents support their children’s learning in the home environment. Specifically, the research explored successes and barriers parents experienced in their attempts to support their children’s learning. Research has shown that parental guidance in learning helps advance students’ academic achievements. Therefore, it is important for the parents to understand their capacity to assist their children in the home environment so that they become more successful academically.
